Not to Make Everyone Cry…

But cross country is a really special sport. It’s the only sport without cuts and everyone is welcome. In high school, my coach went out of his way to integrate kids with disabilities into the fabric of our team. In coaching this year, I’ve seen that not much has changed. Numerous teams across Vermont include runners with disabilities and race directors, spectators and participants are kind and supportive. I’ve seen companions helping runners along, but as far as I know, we don’t have any runners aided by a dog. I dare you to get through this article out of Ohio without misting up:
