Saturday is a day often reserved for domesticity. Not a particularly excellent botanist, I water and turn my houseplants every Saturday because I can’t remember to do it any other day. I scrub my tub and clean my toilet, change my sheets and wipe down the baseboards on Saturday morning as well. As such, I’m loving the article in the Times this week equating exercise (running in particular) to housecleaning for the cells.
So on this Saturday morning as you bustle around doing all the domestic things you meant to do during the week, make time for a run as well. Clean cells are at least as important as a clean house, at least in my estimation.
