On Christmas afternoon, Will joked that I’d had the best Christmas ever because I got both a new treadmill AND a cube freezer. He’s not wrong: the ability to run safely throughout the winter AND store all of the food takes care of two of my personal Maslow’s Hierachy of Needs items.
I haven’t run on it enough to review it yet (it’s still 55 and lovely here, somehow), but am so excited to add it to our home gym.
In great timing, Meg researched and wrote an awesome piece on the history of the treadmill. Not at all surprising that they were once a tool of torture, although they don’t bother me.
What do you think? Is the treadmill a form of torture, a necessary evil or just another part of your training?
